My dad was laid off, and my parents had no money for presents. My mother went dumpster diving around town and got a bunch of huge boxes. She cut turrets and buttresses (or whatever those tooth looking things are) in the top. She painted them and Santa gave us a room full of castles for Christmas. It was my favorite Christmas ever!Renaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01126451644307989598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8677429866446480555.post-64999122151391063812008-11-13T16:02:00.000-08:002008-11-13T16:02:00.000-08:00Ashley, this was actually two boxes, opened up, an...Ashley, this was actually two boxes, opened up, and then stapled together on the sides. Just as much fun as cardboard, but more cuddly!

I was also shut in a cardboard box, and my siblings put an old television on top to "shut me in". I screamed hysterically for about 10 seconds before they quickly got the TV off and let me out. That must have been some scream because they sure moved fast, and then begged me not to tell mom or dad.

This is why I don't have a "childhood" blog like J & R, because it would just read like a childhood version of tales from the crypt ;)timpani76https://www.blogger.com/profile/02616963163699950161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8677429866446480555.post-29266113218769244352008-11-11T20:26:00.000-08:002008-11-11T20:26:00.000-08:00I was always afraid of card board boxes as a child...I was always afraid of card board boxes as a child. We even got a refrigerator box once!
