Super Muddy

She looks like such a little lady in her "rainbow hat" as she calls it, until you see she's covered in mud. Mud mud mud mud mud.

Danger Boy and Kid Catastrophe have also been digging these finger puppets that come in the kids meals at Jack in the Box. I love to go to Jack in the Box for the Chicken Fajita Pita, and every time they see QQ or V in the back seat, they just give them a kid's meal toy for free! It's great having such SUPER cute kids that people just throw things at their feet ;)

Amazing Bump Update!

I, Tired Mom, got her first ultrasound, and the Amazing Bump is 9 weeks along not 8! Yay! Only 5 more weeks of morning sickness instead of 6! The new due date is April 26th.

Church Picnic

Church picnics are the best! I forgot to blog about this a few weeks ago. Plenty of food, lots of fun for the kids, and Tired Mom got to play softball for the first time in a long time! I love softball, I just never get to play. I got to pitch, and I hit the ball a few times. I even made it home!

Slurping Spaghetti &The Amazing Bump Gets Bigger

Danger Boy has an amazing power that Tired Mom is not at all impressed with. He has the ability to NOT eat dinner for weeks on end in order to avoid eating what we all are eating. He puts all the other picky eaters to shame. This year, this super power has been diminishing, and will hopefully go away all together in the next few years.

Tired Mom had a good idea at dinner the other night when she decided to teach Danger Boy to "slurp" his spaghetti. He took to the idea right away (with Kid Catastrophe joining in) and almost finished a whole bowl of spaghetti noodles!

The Amazing Bump Update (Week 7)--The big news this week: Hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs — although they look more like paddles at this point than the tiny, pudgy extremities you're daydreaming about holding and tickling. Woohoo! TAB has paddles now! Your baby has doubled in size since last week and now measures half an inch long. Danger Boy was right! The baby is getting bigger!

The Secret is OUT!!!- Introducing- THE AMAZING BUMP!

Well, I was going to try to keep this under wraps for awhile, but telling my Mom and my husband (Paranoid Dad) apparently started the chain, and now it seems like most everyone knows anyway. So, here goes, Tired Mom has become Extra Tired Mom, and we have a new crime fighting partner with "THE AMAZING BUMP!" (aka- the soon to be ginormous belly bump that will be forming soon as Tired Mom is pregnant). Also, Danger Boy seems to tell just about everybody.

Danger Boy is VERY interested in the baby in my belly and asks me all the time how big the baby is NOW. So far, I show him my fingers about an inch apart (the baby might actually be smaller though). It's very cute. He also pats my belly and smiles with a cute grin. I wonder if they would let him come him for the second trimester ultra sound? I think he would get a kick out of that.

Kid Catastrophe does not seem to be interested at all. She is however severely P.O.'d that I cannot pick her up anymore. She complains about it daily. I do not tell her why I'm not picking her up, and I hope she does not figure it out! I just tell her "because you're a big girl now!". Paranoid Dad is supposed to pick her up when he is around, but she does not want his picking up. Sometimes it's a huge power trip to be the mom, and sometimes it's ridiculously frustrating!

Random cute pics of sleeping Vance & PD, with QQ getting in on it with the last pic:

"Luke, I am your father..."

Not quite. More like, "Quisqueya and Vance, I am your grandfather!" but with no wheezing through a respirator. My dad came into the area to visit and see my youngest brother, Cianan, graduate from basic training for the Army National Guard. It was the first time that my dad got to see my children.

Here he shows the dynamic duo how a starfish eats and regurgitates its prey explosively. There is a 6 minute video of the explanation that may be posted later. (Cianan's girlfriend, Sherry, is in the background.)

Here Grandpa Butch shows Danger Boy and Kid Catastrophe some fauna. I know all kids like animals and such, but DB really likes them. I had forgotten how much my dad knew about 'em, which may explain Vance's affinity to an extent.

QQ and Vance also got to meet there cousin, Amelia. Amelia is my eldest younger brother's little girl. (Billy Nate.) His wife, Holly, managed to evade all picture taking. (?) The kids did famously together.

Here is myself, Cianan and my dad. Cianan graduated on Friday at 9 AM at Ft. Leonard Wood, was brought to Fairview Heights, Il. to visit my grandma and had to be back by 9 PM that night. I got to see him for a bit under and hour for the first time in about 13 years. He grew a wee bit. ;)

Here is QQ, Cianan and my grandma. (Tyler, my cousin, is in the background looking glum.)

My dad holding Vance.

For you sappy types! (Godspeed Brother!)

Here's and unposted photo from when my other brother, Aaron, went through MP training for the Marines at Ft. Leonard Wood. (We got to talk shop a bit as he was learning pain-compliance locks.)

It was great to have my dad and the fam in town so everyone could meet. Hope to get out to the open spaces out west one of these days so that the kids can meet the other transplanted kin.
