Christmas Spirit

Quisqueya calls it YUCKY (and freaks out screaming when it gets on her), Vance calls it SCRIGGLES, and Paranoid Dad calls it VERMIN (like lice, roaches, rats, etc since it likes to travel from one end of the house to the other). Tired Mom thinks her family needs to get into the Christmas Spirit and call it TINSEL!!!

That is hilarious. We used to always have tinsel on the tree growing up, but I don't think I've bought any as an adult.

We never did the tinsel. I'm afraid it would be like Easter Grass which I loathe because it gets everywhere.

Renae is the new scrooge! Tinsel is a messy but wonderful part of Christmas. It vacuums easier than easter grass too ;)

We have tinsel every single year and I love it!!! The tree is not complete without it! My mom goes a little overboard on her tree and uses like 4 packages on it! A bit much, I agree. I tend to use less than a quarter of a package. Anyway, I haven't got mine up yet because I always have to re-decorate the tree after the boys decorate it. Haven't done that yet.

When Jeremy had our very first Christmas tree, our cat ate the tinsel and then it would get stuck coming out of its butt and just trail around behind the poor kitty. It was disgusting and annoyed me!

Ewww, I'm glad my one cat that eats ribbon and fake flowers has not discovered the tinsel yet!

I actually like the tinsel all over the house. It make me feel more Christmasy!
